At full operation, RedGuard expects to employ more than 50 individuals in a variety of technical and support positions. RedGuard manufactures blast-resistant modular buildings for the petrochemical industry and is the leading authority in blast resistance. RedGuard provides safe, customizable and scalable modular buildings for a variety of industrial settings. The Wichita, Kansas-based company has annual revenues exceeding $50 million annually, and looks forward to expanding its customer base from the new Hitchcock location.

A COMPANY that manufactures blast-resistant buildings for the petrochemicals industry set up base in Hitchcock this week and expects to employ more than 50 workers almost immediately. RedGuard president Darren Hillman said the Wichita, Kansas, company, which has an annual turnover of more than $50m had chosen the site for its Gulf Coast regional operation because of its position as “a centralized hub” from which to service most of its industrial clients. “We will be able to service our Texas Gulf Coast region more efficiently and effectively from this strategically chosen location,” he said as the company moved into its Blimp Base, left, industrial-park outlet on Tuesday.

On Monday, Red Guard, a Kansas-based company that manufactures blast resistant buildings for the petrochemical industry, will move in as the latest tenant of the industrial park, Sabrina Schwertner, director of economic development for the Hitchcock Industrial Development Corporation, said Tuesday.
